LINES Dance Center Adult Intensive

In early summer 2018, LINES Dance Center opens its doors for adult dancers of all levels in an immersive, professional-intensity training opportunity: LINES Dance Center Adult Intensive. With one comprehensive weekend for all levels of dancers, all adult students have access to an immersive dance experience that will cultivate the depth and expression of dance in intimate contact with our world-class faculty. Both sessions feature conversation and discussion with Alonzo King.

The LINES Dance Center Adult Intensive is integral to the mission of LINES Ballet and the philosophy and approach of Alonzo King. It is designed based on the principle that every dancer, professional or not, can enjoy and voice their own individual vitality and express their unique energy of dance and creativity.

“The LINES Dance Center Intensive was intense, challenging, inspiring, and liberating!” – 2016 Adult Intensive Participant

Schedule Coming Soon

The foundation of the intensive is sequential ballet and technical training from LINES Dance Center’s ballet faculty. The intensive offers a holistic approach to dance training, integrating technical training with somatic practices for strength, alignment, and body-awareness, and the support of each individual’s creative and artistic intelligence. Unique to a LINES training experience, dancers in the LINES Dance Center Adult Intensive will dance through a multi-faceted approach of rigorous ballet and modern technique, somatics, movement investigations, performance philosophies, critical thinking, composition, choreographic tools, and LINES repertoire wed with artistry, ritual, and individual expression.
